I'm currently single (what? A saavy single style writer living NYC? A rarity indeed.) but when I am in a relationship, certain stores always pull in me, urging me to buy the man of the moment one of their super soft and stylish items of clothing. Any woman worth her salt knows that you don't try to change the way a man dresses - if for no other reason than that it's a horrible cliche. But picking out some choice odds and ends that are his style? Why that's a testimony to the greatest love of all: the love of nice things.

Since one of their shops is only a hop skip and jump away, I can found all too often haunting Brooklyn Industries. But more often than in the store, you'll find me at home, scouring their website for offers on the threads I'd been craving in-store only moments before. 

They're having a men's sale now, and I've pulled a couple of things for your consideration:

 

 

Killer, basic pant - a great addition to any wardrobe. Let me just add here, that while I love Brooklyn Industries, these pants look as though they're being modeled by Dustin Hoffman circa rainman. IF HE TRIES TO WEAR THESE SHOES WITH THESE PANTS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD RUN.

 

But this....

 

 

....escapes the model problem! With the black at shoulders and arms to accentuate shoulder width, the soft gray feel, and over all snuggly look this sweater is a winner. It's urban slick while maintaining its thrift store look.

 

Did I mention that these puppies are both on sale? Well they are. Dinner and a movie costs more than both of the items combined. So be it for you boys secretly reading along, or for the ladies, savor these bargains to be had.
