God, I love Keri Russel. The woman is so beautiful she wear even the most simple of outfits and still look utterly fabulous. Take the outfit she's wearing here. A simple white blouson dress with a black belt and black pumps are all she needs to look classy and gorgeous. A great way to find outfits for less is to start, surprisingly, with an expensive outfit. Often, you can recreate a celebrity's look for much less if you break up the different pieces of the outfit and search for things that look like them. Easy enough, right?
We'll try one together. To look for Keri's outfit, I started off by looking for a white blouson dress. I checked Forever21's website, but they didn't have anything that seemed to match. Then, I checked Fred Flare. Same. However, lucky for me, Go Jane had a great alternative, and it was only $29. Fantastic! It even came with a black belt that looked like Keri's!
Then, all I had to do was find a pair of black heels with red soles to mimic Keri's Louboutins. This, actually, is harder than it looks, as the lipstick red shade of Loubs is generally pretty hard to match. I went straight to
Zappos.com, my favorite website for millions of shoes, and found a pair that looks pretty damn close to Keri's. They've got the same shape, and even have the lipstick red sole. For $55, they're a steal, given that real Loubs would run you into the $600 range.
That's it! A complete outfit, straight of Keri's back (ok, well, not quite, but close). Wasn't that easy? Celebrities outfits, especially when they're as simple as this one, are pretty easy to recreate. You've just got to be willing to look around.
