I was recently introduced to Go Jane, a website with affordable trendy clothing for teens. Now, I try to stray from the fast fashion stuff (although I do have a soft spot for Forever21), but I decided to give Go Jane's footwear section a peek. Their clothes might be a big cheapo looking, but maybe their shoes would be better. Happily, my search revealed a slam dunk! Go Jane has a good amount of totally wearable footwear for a fraction of the price you'd pay at department stores or boutiques.
I've been looking for a simple black flat, and at $14.99, these patent ones might just do it for me. I prefer their rounded toe to a more pointy version, and honestly, who can resist such a price? They aren't so shiny that they look disgustingly cheap, which I appreciate.

I feel the same way about
these pink gladiator sandals. One of my favorite bargain tactics is to buy sandals during their off season. Buying summer shoes in the winter almost always guarantees a better selection and a cheaper price. They won't be all sold out in your size, because everyone else figures they don't need to buy sandals in the dead of winter. I love the shade of pink used in these shoes, and the gold clip detailing in the back of the shoe by the heel adds a little extra visual interest. They're basic enough to wear with most outfits, but their color and detail are a fun way to spice up an otherwise simple outfit. Not to mention, at $15, who can resist? Not I!

Ahh, the happiness that overtakes me when I find a really delectable knockoff. Pretentious fashionista feeling aside, I am LOVING this Dior copycat. You might remember these shoes as the fabulous black gladiators Carrie Bradshaw wore in the beginning scene of the Sex and the City movie. Everyone's been coveting the real thing ever since, but since the real thing is way out of the price range of the average girl,
this version will do just fine. These don't come in the black shade Carrie donned, but I'm actually really feeling the plum and metallic versions. The metallic would look great with some black leggings and a slouchy white tee, and the plum would perfectly compliment cuffed jeans and a tank.

Since it is still winter in most parts of the US, I suppose I'll give you one wintery option. T
hese slouchy boots are that perfect shade of dark camel leather that looks delectable in any light, with any outfit. Their slight heel means they'll be easy to walk in while still giving your height a boost. The round toe keeps them from looking witchy, and their slouchy nature gives them a downtown chic appeal. I could totally see these with leggings, or in the summer with a sundress, or even with funky lace tights. Ah, the possibilities are endless. Don't you just love that? At under $25, they're a fraction of the price of a Steve Madden boot, so you can get the look without spending the dough.

Clearly, Go Jane is the place to head for cheap, chic city styles. I'm guessing there's more fabulosity where these came from!
