Leather Jackets Spell ATTITUDE

by Sigrid 14. November 2011 15:28

Wear Your Attitude. Wearing your attitude is the best way to make a statement especially if you do not want to look generic. If you want to stand out, wearing clothes that are apt for  your personality is always a  good idea.

The Bad Girl Vibe. If you want to look like a bad girl, you can always wear one of those studded leather jackets. Yes they are still in style and they will always be so if you do not have them yet, you better get one today. The question is, where are you going to get them? There are some pretty nice studded leather jackets at Buckle.com priced at around $90 to $100. If you are a vegan, you can always get a faux leather jacket with studs. Do not forget to pair your leather jacket with a good set of leather boots too. No we aren’t talking biker girl here because this look is relatively versatile. In fact, you can wear a leather jacket with a tutu-inspired skirt.

The Good Girl. Good girls can wear studded leather jackets too but if you do not want to appear bad, you might have to stick to a cardigan or a plain leather jacket without embellishments. There are however a few studded leather jackets that do not appear like you’re a biker girl or Lady GaGa in her video for Telephone. Zara has a range of leather jackets for you to take a look at.

Again, wearing a leather jacket is always about attitude and if you think you cannot pull it off, it would be best not to wear one. The fashionable always have their own unique ways of pulling off wearing a leather jacket. So as it has always been, it all depends on you and your attitude towards fashion and towards leather jackets in particular.

Where And How To Buy Cheap Dresses

by Sigrid 28. June 2011 17:32

Are you looking for cheap dresses for sale? There are many cheap dresses online that are sold by resellers and those who are cleaning up their closets. These resellers often get these cheap dresses at real low prices that is why they are able to sell them at more affordable rates.

If you want to buy cheap dresses, you can always take a look at wholesalers’ websites and see if you want to buy certain types of dresses by the bulk. The bad thing about this however is sometimes, wholesalers require you to buy a certain number of cheap dresses that are of the same style –this is definitely a no, no because what is the point of buying dresses if they are of the same style? If they come in different colors however, it can work. Be discerning when it comes to buying dresses online especially those on wholesale. You should make sure that these clothes do not have factory defects. There is no use if you buy them at a rather cheap price and still need to fix them right?

If you are into high end brands but do not have the budget to buy yourself a dress made by a respectable designer, you can look at shops that sell slashed label items or items whose labels are cut out. Most of the time when designer brands are on sale, they cut out the labels to make sure that people do not go back and return the items and get the money at full price. Dresses with cut labels are not secondhand dresses –they are new and were just sold on sale. You can buy these dresses at a fraction of their original price by visiting their stores or visiting their websites. These won’t be exactly cheap but they are good quality items so they are definitely worth it.

Celebrity Fashion: How to Get the Look For Less

by Kylie 21. February 2011 07:38

Sterling silver jewelry is a way to look great without spending a fortune on jewelry. When you are searching for jewelry pieces you will find that instead of spending money on one piece you can put together several looks for the same piece. This means you can have versatility in your wardrobe and mix and match different looks, keeping your style fresh. If you are feeling stagnant with your style give these three celebrity comparisons a try.

Get this look: Glee's Lea Michele at the 2010 Golden Globes, you can achieve this same look with these silver earrings from Zulu Moon for around $20. Drop earrings always make a great addition to a strapless dress.

Get this look: Rhianna wears these silver bamboo hoop earrings that can be found on Amazon.com for $34. Rhianna is known for her edgier style and wiliness to take risks when it comes to fashion.

Get this look: Black Swan star Natalie Portman wears a dangle earrings with a string of jewels. You can achieve the same look with an amber dangle earring with similar shapes. This earring is also from Zulu Moon for $25.

Celebrity style cues don't have to cost you an arm and a leg. You can find great deals out there, it just takes a little searching. You can save money and be fashion forward at the same time, it's all about making your dollar go further.

Where to find the trends, part 2

by Prachi 27. April 2010 09:22

We're back and with more trendy finds! Thought we forgot about our fabulous readers? Last time we covered finding the latest trends and left off with the nude toned heels. Today we'll finish the list and show you where you can find all of those summer trends for great prices!

4. Rompers and jumpsuits. All you Budgetistas out there already know that Target is a one-stop shop with some amazing pieces and now, more designers than ever. Rompers can be difficult to find at times but Target has a sizable collection. Here's my favorite:

Turquoise is a great summer color and looks fantastic against any skin tone. Plus, this romper has a nice floral embellishment at the top.

5. Sheer. Overstock.com has a great selection of blouses and we found plenty of sheer ones to share, particularly ruffled with sheer. Alas, the one I wanted to share with you was sold out. I liked it so much that I'm sharing it anyways! You can backorder it here and when Overstock restocks, they'll let you know! You can definitely tell that coral is in style. Otherwise, this trio of ruffle sheer shirts is a great second choice especially with the colored tips on the ruffles. For less than $30, its a steal.

6. "Spicy" Leggings.
That means not no black, gray or even denim leggings but leggings with bold prints and colorful designs. Now, some "spicy" leggings out there will run you $200 each (yes, $200 for leggings- and I found it hard to spend $20) but the first pair from Pac Sun is only $10, a nice markdown from the original price of $50. It comes in purple and pink. For those who want something a bit tamer - try this pair of zebra leggings.

7. Boyfriend Blazer. Now the blazer prices ran a bit high, if you can, try sneaking one from the boyfriend's closet! Kidding, seriously. I did find one for $20 from JCPenny, featured first, but this one from Nordstorms, with the cinched sleeves made my day. It comes in black and the cream seen below but is a bit pricer at around $50.

 8. Fringed Bag. You have the bag from the original post last week and then you have these fabulous bags. The first one adds its own take on fringe - it's by Jessica McClintock so it's expected but maybe not for $30! The clutch is made with satin and the fringe is in metal but it has a very sophisticated evening look. I agree, $30 isn't the best bargain price for a clutch but what about $40 for a white fringe bag? This Marc Eko hobo fringe bag is available in black and white on Amazon.com. I personally am not the biggest fan of fringe but this bag makes me melt!

9. Military. Like we discussed in the earlier post, military influence doesn't have to mean the big buttons and a rough & tough look- it can be more subtle. Like a military green color and few brass studs found in this Volcom tank on 6pm.com.

10. Bold Accessories. I feel like the bold accessories deserve their own post. There are so many different things to chose from to accent your look, you can't fit it all into one short mention so look out for a post on Summer 2010 Accessories soon!

Shopping Tip: Buy Your Blazers at Goodwill!

by Sarah 9. February 2010 06:01

Now, we know how that title sounds - but don't go wrinkling your nose. Sure, sometimes your local Salvation Army or Goodwill store smells a bit, but if you're willing to hunt through the racks, you'll find a veritable treasure trove of perfect jackets, blazers and more! Our closet is stocked with blazers, which, in addition to being very fashionable right now, are highly practical. We've got orange, hot pink, navy, black, brown...people really underestimate the things you can find at a secondhand store! Best of all, secondhand stores are great for folks on a budget. Most of our blazers are under $5; all were purchased for under $10. If that's not a deal, we're not sure what is!

Stylish Steals: Cool Clutches

by Sarah 2. February 2010 04:43

We admit - we're fans of oversized totes come daytime. We can't help but carry everything but the kitchen sink around with us - you never know what you'll need! However, when the sun sets and we head out on the town, we favor small clutches that fit the essentials and the essentials only. Think keys, lipstick, phone, ID and cash - and maybe a mini hand sanitizer if size permits. Clutches are a great way to add a pop of color to any ensemble; you can jazz up any simple outfit, whether it's a tee shirt and jeans or a black minidress. Below, we've selected some of our favorite colorful clutches. All are under $30, many are under $20, and some are under $10. Wear them in good health, ladies, and get shopping!

Stylish Steals! Urban Outfitters $9.99 and under sale

by Sarah 28. January 2010 06:03

We love Urban Outfitters, but sometimes we find their pieces just a tad overpriced. That's why we love their sale section. The great thing about Urban is that you know the thing you want will go on sale eventually (and unlike Forever21, it's not likely to sell out before it hits the sale rack). There are currently some great finds on Urban's website as we speak. Check our picks below, all from the $9.99 and under sale!

The Look for Less: Hayden's Peep-Toe Booties

by Sarah 13. July 2009 06:09

I'm not a huge fan of Hayden Panettiere, but I will say one thing - the girl knows how to work her body type. Panettiere is short and stumpy, but not at all chubby. This means she sports heels most of the time, especially when it comes to premieres. While doing promotion for her new movie, "I Love You, Beth Cooper", Hayden stopped by MTV to talk with Alexa Chung. She sported a bell-sleeve mini shift dress from Elizabeth and James, and some FIERCE Giuseppe Zanotti booties. Chances are, we can't afford the GZ's, but happily, Charlotte Russe has a great look for less for under $30!

Style Steals: Jessica Simpson launches swimwear collection

by Sarah 22. June 2009 04:58

Jessica Simpson might not be known for her personal style, but that never stops her from adding to her empire. Next up on the list? Stylish swimsuits! Jessica will be partnering with Red Carter to create the suits pictured below, among others. Jessica's previous collections have been a bit too all-american and frankly, trashy for my liking, but these suits are cute. I can see them on even the most stylish of ladies - that gingham two piece is adorable! The collection will launch in December in major department stores across the country. Just in time for Christmas!
