Being fashionable is not that difficult and if you are really bent on looking trendy, you will be able to find a few items that will prove to be useful for all seasons.

Now now, you do not have to spend a lot of money to get these items. According to budget experts, it is always a good idea to look into auction sites such as eBay to find a cute dress or a nice pair of shoes. Vintage shops are also an option. The question is, what are these items that you can use all year round?

The fashionista would call these items fashion repeats i.e. things that will stay useful throughout the entire year even if there are weather changes. However, even if the weather changes from hot to cold and vice versa, you would still need basic items such as long pants.

Alright let’s start with the first one – Knee High Boots. In some parts of the world, these may not be needed but come night time, they are accepted even in tropical countries provided that you are in a city setting. In the western hemisphere, you will see knee high boots during spring and fall and will prove to be quite useful for these seasons. The great thing about this item is that you can wear them with a lot of things i.e. with a nice skirt, a mini skirt, a pair of patterned tights and even skinny jeans.

Another piece you would need for your wardrobe is a durable leather handbag. You can use this one all year round and you do not have to spend a lot too because you only need one or maybe 2 i.e. in black or in brown.

Jewelry is timeless but you do not need to spend thousands of dollars to get them either. There are nice gold and silver pieces one can find in vintage shops and these items will be useful for your outfits. Two basic pieces you need to invest on are earrings and of course a watch.

Wardrobe Must-Haves For Every Girl

by Sigrid 28. July 2011 08:02

Photo via nysatolentino.blogspot.com

Every girl wants to have the perfect wardrobe and as one buys one item after the other –the closer it is for them to achieving their goal. Money is not easy to get though since one has to work very hard to get enough for one’s daily needs. This makes it harder for people who love to shop to actually shop. Designer clothes cost too much and at this time and age, buying designer clothes is no longer advisable especially for those who are working on a tight budget. Do not fret though because there is still a chance for you to revamp your wardrobe without having to spend a lot of money. This is by going to a vintage store. But apart from going to a vintage store or a thrift shop to get things that you like, what are you supposed to have in your wardrobe? Something that you would need in mixing and matching your clothes.

 Denim Skirt

Denim skirts may look simple but they are a must-have for every girl. They can be paired with just about anything and they do not go out of style. You can use them during the summertime, or in winter or spring or fall –they are timeless.

 A Good Pair Of Jeans

A good pair of jeans is always important for every girl’s wardrobe. Jeans are very versatile and can be paired with a formal blouse or a t-shirt if you don’t feel like dressing up. Jeans can be paired with flat shoes, boots, pumps and platform shoes.

 Little Black Dress

Every girl must have a little black dress for those special occasions. You little black dress can be worn as is or be adorned with accessories or worn with a good jacket to make it look more professional.

Broke But Still Fashionable

by Sigrid 24. June 2011 05:25

We’ve been there –broke that is but it did not stop us from checking out the newest trends in the fashion world. If you are broke but still want to look uber fashionable, worry not because there are ways for you to still look good without spending a fortune.

This contrast dress is sold at Ax Paris USA for $38.50. You can pair it Michael Antonio black Langston shoes from Heels.com. The pair is sold at $54.99.

For your accessories you may take a look at Kebalka at Aldoshoes.com. This bracelet will surely look smashing with your dress and it’s only $15.

Bebe enamel crystal earrings with animal print are available at Amazon.com for $29. This is a good look you can rock at the office.

How about a more casual look you say. Alright ladies buckle up. Here’s another idea for the fashionable yet broke-for-the-moment girl only this time we will only be showing fashion inspirations that you can use for casual wear –no price tags on this part because we are quite sure you already have most of the items contained here.

Now this may be something you have seen on TV but this look is definitely easy to put together as long as you have a cute floral dress, a jeans jacket and good old boots. You can add accessories too but make sure that the accessories are simple. Wearing eye-catching accessories with this look will definitely ruin the whole idea of it.

Here is another look you should take a look at.

Interesting what you can do with a tutu skirt! You can wear this one on a date and if you are as romantic as you say you are, you might even ride a motorcycle with your date with this outfit. This is not difficult to put together, all you have to do is go to your favorite store and find these items.

Shop Your Closet

by Christine 25. March 2009 08:55
Let's play the game, Shop Your Closet. The way to begin is to get inspired by a certain look or style, then go into your wardrobe and pick out similar pieces that you own already. Then supplement with just a couple of items, in this case for me, it was a pair of affordable shoes ($40!) and cute pants from J.Crew that are half off! The key isn't to copycat the look that you drew your inspiration from, but more to show and remind you that you can mix and match your clothing in cool, fresh and fun ways that you might have not though of before. For me, the outfit that I created was drawn from retro-feeling pieces, such as cropped pants, oxfords and ruffly cardigans. I snooped around my own closet and found that I had about 3/4 of the outfit already. Now all I have to do is purchase the bottom halves—shoes and pants! Now, go shop your own closet, and remember, HAVE FUN!!!

Jacket, blouse and cardigan: Forever 21
Shoes, Mod Cloth
Pants, J.Crew
