Stock up for Spring: Sandals

by Sarah 9. February 2010 06:14

One of the things we love about Spring is that we can sport our summer sandals without wearing next to nothing on top - once summer hits, we're so hot all the time that we can barely manage more than a t-shirt and jean shorts; but in the spring, we can pair our favorite sandals with floral dresses and light leather jackets. Check out our Spring picks, all under $40, below!

1. Urban Outfitters Deena and Ozzy Scallop Lace Skimmer, $38.00

2 .Go Jane Canvas Lace Up Snake Sandal, $17.40

3. Go Jane Strappy Metallic Zip Sandal, $15.80

4. Forever21 Cracked Metallic Sandal, $14.80

The Look for Less: Ann Demeulemeester Lace Up Heels

by Sarah 3. February 2010 05:51

It's only taken Forever21 a year and a half to knock off these amazing Spring 2009 Ann Demeulemeester lace ups - but boy are we glad they've done so! The original Anns retail for over $800, but their relaxed military style look is undeniably cool. Jeffrey Campbell, the king of designer knockoffs, did a version of these last year - but his were still expensive. They retailed for $198 at Free People. Now, Forever21 has made a pair that retails for only $27.80. While they'll never compare to the real thing, they're a great way to get the look for a fraction of the price. Get yours here.

Converse Has Something For Everybody

by brooks 29. January 2010 15:14

From toddlers to adults, everybody can be seen wearing a comfy pair of Converse from time to time.  They come in a variety of colors from bold and bright to your basic black.  They have almost as many styles as they do colors.  There's your hi-top and your lo-top.  They have artist collaborations.  I like the simple All Star Specialty.  If you don't see something for you, you can even design your own!  Just in time for Valentine's Day, a new line of sneakers featuring the famed "LOVE" motif by Robert Indiana has been released.  What better way to say I love you than with the gift of comfort?  You can buy Converse at several retail stores or you can shop at online.  With prices starting as low as $12.00 for children's sizes and $32.99 for adult sizes, they're as easy on your wallet as they are on your feet!

Boot-iful

by Sarah 28. January 2010 06:06
There's nothing better than a great pair of boots when it comes to winter style. Unfortunately, most boots are ridiculously expensive, and unless you've for $200 plus saved up, you're out of luck. Enter Go Jane, a great retailer for inexpensive clothes, shoes and more. We've combed through their online shoe rack to find the best looks - these are boots that are cheap but don't look cheap.

The Look for Less: Alexander Wang Hanne Boot

by Sarah 27. January 2010 08:08

For Fall/Winter 2009/10 Alexander Wang set this glorious boot down the runway in a variety of colors and styles. Editors and PYT's alike went crazy for the triple buckled 'Hanne' (presumably named after model Hanne Gaby Odiele). However, at $1200 a pair, they were a bit out of reach for most of us. Enter Jeffrey Campbell, shoe king, who does a knock off like no one else (Steve Madden, we're looking at you). Campbell's version isn't made of nice leather like Wang's (though it is real leather!), and the buckles aren't as shiny, but all in all it's a pretty good imitation. In addition, they're only $195, which is $1000 less than the real thing. See for yourself below.

Hot off the heels of its successful team-up with Matthew Williamson, H&M has chosen its next stunner: Jimmy Choo. “We are privileged to be among the fashion greats who have been affiliated with H&M, to be designing a collection that will appeal to fashion-savvy, street-smart women and to be including some great pieces for men, too,” said Tamara Mellon, Founder and President of Jimmy Choo. The exclusive accessories collaboration launches Nov. 14 and will include shoes, handbags, and clothing. Choo on the cheap? Life couldn't be sweeter . . .

Summer Shoe Trend: Wedge-tastic

by Sarah 6. May 2009 03:40

I adore wedges. They're the most comfortable form of high heeled shoe out there, and they're so versatile. I love the way they look with leggings in the fall, even with socks underneath in the winter. But best of all, they're perfect for summer. They look gorgeous with sundresses and fabulous with jumpsuits. They can do it all!

Check out this selection of wedges, all under $20, from GoJane.com. Style steal alert! I LOVE the braided brown leather pair on the bottom left. Which are your favorites? I'm also loving the turquoise ones on the top right.
