Winter Wear Fashion

by Sigrid 25. January 2012 07:01

It’s snowing outside and it’s pretty cold. However, you can’t let the cold stop you from looking hot so here are a few winter wear photos that will inspire your outfits for the next few weeks.

You do not have to go with trends really. You can wear black, beige or brown and still look fabulous. Lay off the colorful coats unless they are uber beautiful. If you are not sure about your fashion sense or lack thereof, better stick with the colors mentioned above. To inspire you with your winter wear, we took a few photos online for your perusal.

For a more casual look, you can use less serious colors like purple or violet. Take a look at the photo below.

If you think there is already a need for you to replenish your closet with winter clothes, here are a few things to keep in mind. If someone says that the dumber your headwear is for winter, the warmer your head will be? Well this could be true in some cases but there are very nice head gear out there that will protect your brain from the cold. Take a pick! Your headwear doesn’t have to look dorky.

Still worried about what you should wear this season? Keeping it simple is a good idea because often, simplicity translates to elegance. Pairing a neutral gray jacket for example with skin tight jeans and black boots is a good way to start. Then just pick a scarf you really like and get a black bag and you’re done! If you are not up to buying a new coat for yourself this winter, it might be high time to get a new scarf. If you already have a neutral gray coat or a black one then that should do it –you will definitely stretch your budget if you invest on these.

Jeans for Petite Women

by Sigrid 30. December 2011 18:28

Looking for the right jeans can be troublesome for many women especially the petite ones. Do not be sad though because there are styles that can fit you perfectly.

Straight cut jeans for example can be quite flattering because they will make you look leaner and longer. It would be best however that you purchase something with a dark wash rather than a lighter shade.

Those who are petite and have a full figure can use jeans that either have straight legs or wide legs to achieve a well-proportioned look.

How about skinny jeans? You should steer clear from them especially if you are not slender enough. Some petite women who re very skinny can use skinny jeans but those who aren’t thin, should steer clear from this cut.

For the curvy and short, boot cut jeans are the right fit. Those who have either triangle or hourglass figures can don these but don’t go full blown with the boot cut i.e. bell bottoms –these are too wide. Boot cut jeans will make you look taller.

If you are skinny and short and would like to look curvier, you may want to try tapered jeans. Those who have inverted triangle figures or those with rectangle shape figures should use tapered jeans to “get” curves. A little bit of styling on these jeans can help too –an embellishment or embroidery on the back pockets will make your hips look curvier than they really are.

For those who are over 40, it might be difficult to find the right jeans. However, there are jeans that have integrated spandex for fabric stretch and boot cut styling to make the wearer look leaner and longer. These jeans are best for petite women over 40. According to stylists, this type will make you look better  in jeans. Mom jeans are just deplorable so if you feel like wearing jeans make sure you have one of these.

The Right Jeans For You (Women)

by Sigrid 23. December 2011 17:49

Photo Via Styletips101.com

Dubbed as the ultimate fashion staple, jeans are not going to go out of fashion anytime soon. As we have mentioned before, you should have at least a pair of jeans in your closet because they are very versatile. Some women however do not like wearing jeans because they do not look good in them. Everyone can look good in jeans, all you have to do is to find the right style for you. How does one do that?

The Straight Cut

Straight cut jeans are great for those who do not have long legs –they will make your legs look longer and can be used either during the day or at night.

The Boot Cut

According to stylists, this looks awesome on everyone so you must have at least one pair of these. It is true though, boot cut jeans look great on short women and also on tall ones.

Skinny Jeans

Skinny jeans look great on a lot of people but if you want to accentuate your curves, these might not be the right jeans for you. They however are very good for making the legs look slim.

The Super Flare

Now this one was a hit in the 70s but if you have big thighs and want to hide them, you would need to use one of these. It balances out the hips as well.

Wide-leg Jeans

A pair of wide-leg jeans is perfect for women who are tall and curvy. They are usually very trendy yet casual at the same time.

Capris

Ankle length jeans also known as capris are perfect for petite women and for showing off your shoes.

High Waist

These jeans are perfect for those who would like to look curvaceous. These are not advisable for the curvy though because you might look like you’ve stuffed yourself inside your jeans.

Boyfriend Cut

Now this one’s cut but you can’t use them on a daily basis unless you are the boyish type.

Trouser Cut

If you want something more formal, trouser cut jeans are your best bet. This design is also great for women who feel that they have big thighs.

Finding The Best Online Deals

by Sigrid 30. November 2011 05:36

So how does one find the best online deals? Searching the web about deal is always a good idea but joining something like Groupon is also a wonderful thing because you will get notified of the best deals in town if you sign up under something like Groupon.

Although analysts say that the business model of Groupon will hurt Groupon in the long run, the main purpose of signing up for the newsletter is for you to get the best deals in your town or city while businesses like Groupon are still around.

You can also sign up for deals by getting newsletters from your favorite store. If you love Nine West for example, you must go to their website and sign up for their newsletter. In return, you will get updates from the store itself and you will know if there are sales you can take advantage of. What is great about this is that you will know first before the rest of the population knows about it.

Finding bargain shoppers online is also a wonderful idea. Follow these people because they will show you the ropes on where to shop on certain seasons.

Do some research on your own too. Who knows what you will find online? Make sure however that your source is reliable and will not lead you to one of those shopping sites that only scam people. Sites like these exist so beware of them. Always make sure that the places you shop at online are legitimate. If possible, it is best to shop local i.e. look for online shops that are popular in your community or area. When you come to think of it, going to Amazon or eBay may be the safest places to shop online.

Coupons are also a wonderful thing. Getting coupons from different shops will go a long way.

Winter Shopping Tips

by Sigrid 22. November 2011 05:29

Winter is approaching and so will the holiday rush. One thing a good shopper knows is that Christmastime is definitely not the best time for shopping even with attractive marketing. Bargain shoppers know one thing, it is best to shop for new winter apparel when all that marketing has finally lain low.

The trick is to wait for January –oh we know, we should have told you about this last year but hey, at least now you know. Because by January, you can be sure that stuff being sold last Christmas will be on sale. January sales are very likely and this applies in all places in the world because most shopping places would like to get rid of all their last season items pronto.

What is bad about this is the waiting. But ladies, ladies, ladies, even spies have to deal with waiting. The waiting game is always the worst but for you to be able to save lots of money, you better deal with the wait.

Items that are not being marketed for the season are also great stuff to keep an eye out for because more often than not, these things are sold at real cheap prices. You may even want to shop for clothes that are not made for winter because they are sold at lower prices this time of year.

Another secret is to keep looking for deals. A few coupon codes here and there will go a long way. Another advantage of having them is that you get your items shipped to you for free –that is if you are shopping online. Speaking of shopping online, this is a good idea if you do not want to be part of the upcoming holiday rush when everyone’s at the malls spending their hard earned cash.

Basic Wardrobe Items That Every Woman Should Have

by Sigrid 22. November 2011 03:32

Cashmere Cardigan

We all love cashmere but one has to remember that no matter where you buy it, it comes in various grades. When talking about cashmere, the higher the grade, the better. Now why would someone spend so much on a cardigan? This has got to do with quality and saving money in the long run ladies because cashmere cardigans last longer than your usual cardigan. If you want to save lots of moolah, it’s not always about getting it cheap all the time; it’s about how long it will last.

Little Black Dress

We’ve talked about this before but let’s do a little history. It was in 1926 when Coco Chanel mass produced the said item and became rather popular ever since. What makes the little black dress a basic item for every woman’s wardrobe is not just because you will be needing one for those cocktail parties but because the little black dress can transform itself from a formal dress to something that you can use at work.

White Button-Down Shirt

This one is very versatile and can be worn at work or on a casual day out with your girlfriends. It is best to have at least one white button-down shirt in your wardrobe. If you have more the better. Any type of material will do as long as it looks decent and presentable. You may be able to find a nice button-down shirt in white in your favorite department store.

Dress Slacks

Yes you need them especially if you work in an office. Having a good pair that fit you well is always useful.

Knee-Length Skirt

Every woman needs a knee-length skirt not only for office wear but also for casual wear. We may have failed to mention this basic wardrobe item before but we are mentioning it now to make sure that you have one in your closet.

Selma Blair lives in a homeless shelter for Versace dress

by Sigrid 18. November 2011 04:23

Selma Blair, one of the best dressed women in Hollywood would always choose fashion over anything else. When the actress was not yet known in Tinseltown, she chose to buy her very first Versace dress instead of paying her landlord.

Now this may be considered rather odd for some but fashionistas always seem to get caught in this type of decision making i.e. choosing between buying a nice pair of shoes over paying a certain bill.

Now now you do not have to make such a rash and stupid decision because at Budget Fashion Report, we will be able to help you get the latest stuff at real low prices. These clothes will probably not be from Versace or Gucci or Prada aside of course if we advise you to go to a place that sells secondhand high end items but the good news is, there are fashionable clothes out there that are dirt cheap.

Let’s do a rundown on which stores you can go to. Our first suggestion of course is eBay. The place has a range of fashion items on offer and you can bid on them for as low as a dollar. Some of these items are used but there are also certain eBay stores online that sell new items and start the bid at a dollar. Now if that is not enticing to you and you are bent on buying new items for your wardrobe, going to Piperlime is a good idea. Piperlime is a rehash of Gap and it offers a range of items from different brands. You can buy Nine West bags and shoes from their online shop and can also get a range of uber cute dresses. They don’t have Versace but hey, you might as well take a look at Piperlime. While you’re at it, you may want to hunt for a Piperlime coupon too.

Leather Jackets Spell ATTITUDE

by Sigrid 14. November 2011 15:28

Wear Your Attitude. Wearing your attitude is the best way to make a statement especially if you do not want to look generic. If you want to stand out, wearing clothes that are apt for  your personality is always a  good idea.

The Bad Girl Vibe. If you want to look like a bad girl, you can always wear one of those studded leather jackets. Yes they are still in style and they will always be so if you do not have them yet, you better get one today. The question is, where are you going to get them? There are some pretty nice studded leather jackets at Buckle.com priced at around $90 to $100. If you are a vegan, you can always get a faux leather jacket with studs. Do not forget to pair your leather jacket with a good set of leather boots too. No we aren’t talking biker girl here because this look is relatively versatile. In fact, you can wear a leather jacket with a tutu-inspired skirt.

The Good Girl. Good girls can wear studded leather jackets too but if you do not want to appear bad, you might have to stick to a cardigan or a plain leather jacket without embellishments. There are however a few studded leather jackets that do not appear like you’re a biker girl or Lady GaGa in her video for Telephone. Zara has a range of leather jackets for you to take a look at.

Again, wearing a leather jacket is always about attitude and if you think you cannot pull it off, it would be best not to wear one. The fashionable always have their own unique ways of pulling off wearing a leather jacket. So as it has always been, it all depends on you and your attitude towards fashion and towards leather jackets in particular.

Shopping at Chico's

by Sigrid 13. November 2011 04:18

Shopping at Chico’s may not be something that younger women would like to do but look beyond the surface ladies, this old ladies’ store seem to have a lot to offer to the younger generation.

Known for its travelers’ collection, Chico’s has a range of wrinkle-free design clothes as well as a selection of accessories that you might find quite useful. Chico’s recently launched its high end pieces called the Black Label so you might as well check it out this season and see what it has in store for you.

The shop also has a range of jackets for you to choose from i.e. those that are made from velvet and those that have animal prints. Too cougar for you? Alright, Chico’s still has a few items for you to take a look at. This includes clutch bags and accessories.

For those looking for seasonal or formal wear, the store is definitely a wonderful place to look for great finds. Chico’s also offers casual wear and work wear.

The sizing at Chico’s however may confuse the newbie in the place because it has its very own sizing system. Do not be frustrated though because you can always try the clothes on –what’s the sense of going into the shop if you do not try the clothes on anyway? The sizing at Chico’s starts at 000 and according to fashionistas, ends at 4.5. What??? We can hear you exclaiming in frustration. Don’t be frustrated ladies because the sizes go up to XL. Certain sizes however can only be bought online.

If you want to try some Chico’s shopping however, you might want to sign up for their newsletter because doing this will give you an instant 10% off on their items. Isn’t that just great? For more information, you may want to go to Chico’s official website and see what’s new in the store.

There are those cute dresses women would love to get their hands on but do you need all of the cute outfits that the media deem as something you should have? Definitely not. So here goes ladies, the top 8 items every woman should own.

Photo via womensbootsblack.com

Boots. Yep you need those boots. They are very sexy and nope it is not necessary that you show some flesh when you wear them. If your calves and your legs are nicely proportioned, it would be best to get fitting boots if not, stick to the ones that do not hug your legs.
